people are stupid, in general. common sense is pretty much non-existant these days. it's not merely a personal thought i have but rather a study i've conducted. when i was stocking the milk at watterson food court someone might ask me, "is that milk cold?" of course i would reply w/ a polite, "yes, of coure." but sheesh, it's milk. if it wasn't cold it would go bad, would we still serve it then? not a chance in hell if we wanted to avoid lawsuits from parents saying their kids got sick from spoiled milk. they couldn't even afford to give their employees decent incentives to work there. why do you think there was such a high turnover rate?
and this one lady came up to me at blockbuster, hands me a pile of movies, a pile of coupons, and a membership card. "i don't konw what in there is good or how this works, my husband usually does this." i'm sorry, but any woman who says to me that "their husband usually does this" loses my respect immediately. what happened to female independance? this was a lady that had 4 kids, 2 in high school, it looked like.
maybe i'm just a pissed off chik right now. but i don't care. i care about the independence that women fought for for so long. i dont' want to see it lost to a bunch of lazy women that just don't want to deal w/ it. maybe this blockbuster thing is a little thing to get upset about, but whatever.
